Emerald Hills tea factory
A spectacular Ceylon single estate green tea that was handpicked and made on an estate that was first established in the late 1800s.
This is a very special tea - carefully & gently rolled, it has a delicate, eyebrow shape and dark green leaf. Grown in the cool and pristine hills beyond Nuwara Eliya, the tea produces a profusion of citrus and floral notes with mild astringency. This is a very special Ceylon Green Tea - bright and lively yet delicate, with a deliciously gentle finish.

Emerald Hills tea factory is located 12 km from Nuwara Eliya town, on a tea covered plateau at an elevation of approximately 6,500 ft above sea level, on the eastern slopes of the Pidurutalagala massif. The Nuwara Eliya region has, for decades, been synonymous with the highest quality tea in a country known the world over for the excellence of its product. The Emerald Hills factory is one of the six highest factories in Sri Lanka and is the highest factory in the island manufacturing Green Tea. It was selected for the project on account of the availability of green leaf from the highest elevations in the country.
